Ashley Austin, WeightWatchers (WW) Growth Marketing Manager is an accomplished Marketing Executive with a 10-year career that encompasses demanding leadership roles and delivering innovative, 360-degree marketing strategies across advertising, media, content creation, digital/social, and experiential disciplines that elevate brand equity. Austin is known for bringing game-changing perspectives to the table and developing branded entertainment partnerships across key lifestyle and multicultural platforms.

At WW, Austin holds direct accountability for pioneering the brand’s multicultural and growth marketing strategy and execution across all marketing touch points. Her successes include building and leading a talented team, exploring digital and social media engagements and boosting brand favorability with emerging growth audiences. 

Previously, Austin served as the Media Director at Designsensory, a boutique agency working hand in hand with the NBA’s Phoenix Suns leading creative advertising campaigns across digital and broadcast platforms. Accordingly she developed and led cutting-edge lifestyle, sports, music, cause and entertainment marketing strategies attracting new consumers by broadening the focus on organizational and inclusion initiatives. 

Prior to her position at the Phoenix Suns, Ashley worked at renowned media agency Starcom Worldwide on household brand names like Wrigley, Mars, and Heineken. Collaborating across client partners to stimulate areas of opportunity to automate, develop efficiencies, and improve the workflow of the department. Serving as the day to day client contract, Austin was recruited to manage portfolio, scope of services, and fiscal management. She engaged targeted segments and influencers across sports, fashion and entertainment platforms leading to an unprecedented knowledge in both ad sales and broadcast planning with her early career stops at Monster Worldwide and TV One

Austin holds a Master of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communication from Roosevelt University. With an eye for fashion Ashley is also the owner of a thriving online vintage boutique Uptown Belle. She enjoys sourcing and curating vintage pieces and resells them to clients across the globe from Brooklyn to Norway. Her next evolution is to include designer handbags and other accessories. She also has a passion for volunteering her time to service projects related to women and does so as an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Ashley currently lives in Chicago with her husband Raymond Austin and dog Devereaux. In her spare time, she loves trying new cuisines and traveling.
